We provide counseling, clinical psychotherapy, mental health care, and education on well-being and behavior.
Who we are: a group of independently licensed clinical therapists who choose to work together to serve our community. Each therapist has their own areas of expertise and focus demographics. Each therapist is responsible for their own booking and is not supervised or managed by a larger company or corporation.
We offer free consultations for everyone. You can find more info about therapy on our FAQ, Therapist, and Info pages.

Why you should choose a local therapist instead of using one of those nationwide services with lots of slick advertising:
There are a lot of convenient discount therapy services out there that try to lure us in by advertising therapy as something they can make convenient and cheap. Convenience and discount prices are attractive, but do you really want discount therapy? Those counselors are not being paid well, might not be fully licensed, and may not be experts on your issues. There is no substitute for therapy with a fully licensed clinical therapist from your area. Nationwide corporations that offer quick and easy therapy via texting and brief phone sessions cheapen the profession and make therapy seem like it should be an easy, super convenient experience that fits into your routine like a coffee run. But therapy isn’t quick and easy and it shouldn’t be. Nothing worth doing is easy. So, if you’re looking to improve yourself or some aspect of your life, do yourself a favor and take the time to do the work and choose a fully licensed, local clinical therapist.
Sirona Counseling LLC is a locally owned and operated private practice! We are not a franchise or corporate-owned brand. Sirona Counseling is owned and managed by a clinical therapist. We are a private practice group in Farmington, serving the surrounding area and all of Connecticut via telehealth.
Here at Sirona, every therapist is a fully licensed clinician. That means we aren’t a “learning” group full of untested associate level therapists.
We are located on the West Hartford/Farmington line off Farmington Avenue near UConn Hospital at The Exchange. We’ll give you directions.
Insurance:
We all are in network with Optum, United Healthcare, Oxford, UMR, Connecticare, Aetna.
Some of us are in network with Cigna, Husky (medicaid only) and with Anthem. Check the Therapists page to see who is in network.
If you want to see a therapist who is not in network with your insurance, you can pay out of pocket (we can negotiate a rate) and receive a superbill, which is a sort of receipt for clinical services. You send these to your insurance in batches about once a month. If you have out of network benefits through your plan, you should get some money back.
